Terms and conditions

The terms you agree to when you order coffee or start a subscription with us.

Draft for review

Placeholder wording - not yet legally reviewed. This page is scaffolding so the link works and the structure is agreed. Every [SQUARE BRACKET] below is a blank the business needs to fill, and the whole document should be checked by someone qualified before the store takes real orders.

These terms

These terms apply to every order placed through this site with [REGISTERED COMPANY NAME], registered in [ENGLAND AND WALES] under number [COMPANY NUMBER] at [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. Placing an order means you accept them.

Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Ordering

Your order is an offer to buy. A contract forms when we send you a dispatch confirmation, not when you place the order or receive an order acknowledgement.

We may decline an order if the coffee is out of stock, if we cannot deliver to your address, or if we identify a pricing error.

Prices shown include VAT at the prevailing rate. Delivery is charged at checkout unless your order qualifies for free delivery.

Three-bag bundles

Three-bag bundles apply only to 250g bags. Bags of 500g or 1kg are not eligible for the three-bag bundle discount.

Choose three of the same coffee or mix and match. Your bundle saving is shown in your basket.

Subscriptions

A subscription bills automatically at the frequency you choose until you cancel it.

  • You can skip, pause, change frequency or cancel at any time from your account.
  • Changes take effect on the next order that has not yet been charged. We charge and roast [NUMBER] days before dispatch.
  • We will email you [NUMBER] days before each charge so nothing is a surprise.
  • There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee.

If we change the price of a subscription we will give you at least [NUMBER] days' notice, and you may cancel before the change takes effect.

Delivery

We deliver to [DELIVERY AREA]. Estimated delivery is [NUMBER] working days from dispatch; these are estimates, not guarantees.

Risk passes to you on delivery. If an order arrives damaged, tell us within [NUMBER] days and we will replace it.

Cancellation and returns

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations you may cancel an online order within 14 days of receiving it and return it for a refund.

Coffee is a perishable food product. Sealed bags may be returned unopened within that period; once a bag has been opened we can only refund it if there is a problem with the coffee.

If something is wrong with your coffee, tell us at [SUPPORT EMAIL] and we will put it right.

Our liability

We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Otherwise our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of [ENGLAND AND WALES], and disputes fall to the courts of [ENGLAND AND WALES].
